Drawing Down the Moon is a dance film shaped by the atmospheric, deliberately warped aesthetic of Deborah Turbeville. The work follows dancers through softly eroded, memory-like spaces where movement blurs, dissolves, and re-forms, echoing Turbeville’s fascination with disintegration.

The choreography and visual language embrace grain, softness, and intentional distortion, creating a tension between presence and disappearance. Through this approach, the film becomes a personal exploration of how dance—like an image—can be altered, erased, or reclaimed, revealing the fragile beauty that exists in ambiguity and imperfection.
